Representatives from our region attended a national 
conference for coaltions sponsored by CADCA.
The power point presentation by Ralph Hingson,ScD from
the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
was made available.  The information is excellent and
thought that some of the information could be useful
for your local presentations,handouts etc..

Community Anti Drug Coalitions of America
The Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth at Georgetown 
University monitors the marketing practices of the alcohol
industry to focus attention and action on industry practices that
jeopardize the health and safety of America's youth.

Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY)
CADCA's mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of 
community coalitions to create safe, healthy and drug-free
communities. The organization supports its members with
technical assistance and training, public policy, media strategies

Faith-Based and Community Initiatives
Faith-based and community organizations traditionally have 
providedsupport systems for people with substance abuse and
mental health problems. In the past, faith-based and community
groups often faced complicated rules and regulations that made
it hard for them to compete for Federal funds. Now the Federal
Government is stepping in to lend these groups a hand.
